The first time together with the Lithuanian comrades from Klaipeda we have gone for an anniversary of Borodino-190. Last time we were on a field of the Borodino 5 years ago. It would be desirable to see own eyes changes, past for so much years. Border reached with anxiety for a uniform and equipment. How we will be met by the Russian frontier guards after drama events in Moscow? Kind 6 hours have stood in a queue to get in limits of the Russian Federation. Have a little worried enough, have passed our things through the customs TV and in a way to Moscow. Till midday on Friday we have reached Borodino. Around Borodino the work boiled - on road hanged out new posters, on a glade the film crew prepared for shootings a clip, along road tents were arranged and the provisions were delivered. We hope, that we have arrived to the necessary place and hoped, that for us waited. Much it was not required to us, but tents, hay and fire wood were guaranteed in the invitation. Appeared, that each group was given to itself. The camp was broken on a glade between village Shevardino and Kurgan’s height. Having received through a pair of hours of searches of tents, the amicable command has started arrangement of camp of 7-th division. All found work - put tents, carried fire woods, made fire, prepared for a meal. Guys with 129-th linear of Kaunas later have approached and all our command was in gathering. Conditions of life were close approached to the last century. But present the soldiers do not frighten any difficulties. The nearest dried up brook with cold water has allowed to be freshened and wash after tiresome marches and rehearsals. Fire of a fire warmed and did not leave us without circles of tea, coffee and hot food. No organizational questions could be solved on Borodino without vodka. Our German comrades have already got tired to drink vodka, constantly hungry, but drunk. But for them it is extreme and severe conditions of Russia after full and quiet Germany. How many will be stories after returning home? In Saturday after ceremonial at a monument the Victim of Great Army in long expectation of dinner the French parts have dispersed in searches of food. Our guys Alexei and of Dins in village Shevardino have got for a table of hospitable local residents which not only have fed and have given to drink them, but also safely carried out theirs to the camp. Evening not on autumn surprisingly warm, the stars sky, conversations with friends around of a fire. Our old comrade has joined Sunday before fight in our lines – he is a founder a regiment of French fusilier-grenadier of Guards sergeant Emmanuil Vovsi (Grouszi) which have specially arrived on this event from America. In 10 years he again has felt passion of fight and strong shoulders of the comrades. Reconstruction of the Borodino battle has turned to duel of artillery batteries. On so limited place as glade for reconstruction were placed tens of guns. For a cavalry and infantry it was simple not places for expansion and in real conditions of the battle of a column of infantry would be avoid in few minutes. Hundreds thousand spectators have arrived to look the Borodino representation, and the ambassador for memory to be photographed with soldiers in uniformes. O.Sokolov after fight in camp personally entrusted each division of Great Army, which took part in reconstruction, a memorable Borodino’s Crosses. On tradition we have washed crosses champagne and have gone to turn off camp. Has come it is time to say goodbye to our friends and to get ready for a trip. In the bus have drunk fault, shared impressions, discussed plans for the future and were pleased at brain, that all we come back home after Borodino event alive and healthy.
